IOTA Industry market place
IOTA Foundation (worldwide one of the leading institute for Distributed Ledger ("Block chain") research) has recently announced a first autonomous and complete decentralised Industry market place.
The industry market place is the result of the collective project between the IOTA foundation, the chair integrated automation (LIA) of the OvGU, the institute for automation technology of the helmut schmidt university Hamburg, eCl@ss, NeoCeption and WeWasch.
The industry market place establishes a manufacturer and industrial sector indipendent platform, which allows a direct information exchange, negotiations and automatic payment procedures between machines. The market place supports machines and automatism, which can participate at the economical life self-contained in future. It can be imagined e.g. as a self driven car, which gets transport orders autonomously - and the industrie market place as an decentralised Uber.
The IOTA industry market place combines Distributed Ledger technolgy, the concept of the asset administration shell of the Platform Industry 4.0, a standardised machine readable Industry 4.0 language and offers a global trustworthy and secure infrastructure to convey data and value. Therefore an important mile stone for the machine to machine communication was settled and a basis for new forms of cooperation between companies on national and global level as well as the development of open worldwide networked ecosystems.
