LIA Demonstrator
I4.0 components with proactive AAS can be considered as independent service providers. They act as autonomous commercial players, which organise their collaboration regarding market economical principles. They can stick on own knowledge and aims, can have local optimisation and scheduling algorithms and are responsible for own time plans. So I4.0 components can verify their capabilities to execute certain production services and are able to discover its own capacity for the provision of requested services till the desired deadline and to submit proposals. They can calculate the price for its service and include it into offers.
The LIA I4.0 demonstrator shows how to realise such ideas with real machines and industrial automation components in practice.
The demonstrator of the chair integrated automation consists of a handling robot (delta robot), three work stations (conveyor and stationary drill machine) and products, which are each equipped with own asset administration shells. The asset administration shell of the product knows its processing steps and starts a bidding process according VDI/VDE 2193 in order to be processed by the three work stations. These make each an offer and the product AAS chooses the best and places the order. After the processing the next step will be choosen by the product AAS and the process starts again.
With this demonstrator LIA participates also at the Industry market place of the IOTA foundation.
